TSWREIS Launches Short Videos

The unprecedented covid pandemic has thrown several challenges to teachers, students, parents and educational administrators across the globe. TSWREI Society has risen to this challenge in an innovative way and embraced the digital online platforms to promote teaching and learning among its students and to bridge the education gap created due to closure of educational institutions. Teachers have been embracing social media and e-learning resources in a big way to ensure that poor children do not lose out on the academic front while schools remain shutdown due to the covid crisis. The teachers shifted their focus to online tools such as whatsapp, facebook, YouTube, short videos, T-SAT television channel, among other digital platforms to promote academic activities.

In yet another path-breaking initiative, TSWREI Society teachers prepared short videos of 3-4 minutes of duration and these videos were copied in OTG pen drive. And these pen drives were made available with the principals of all the TSWRE institutions in Telangana. The videos cover syllabus of classes from 6th to intermediate as per the timetable, besides assignments for students. Village sarpanch/ward members/educated youth/TGPA members/swaeroes/community members are encouraged to copy these short videos and show it to students using smartphones, TVs and laptops. This path-breaking initiative was launched to prepare students from 6th class to intermediate for the upcoming academic year and significantly increase their engagement in productive activities.
